How Can You Make God A Priority in Your Life?

Say This Prayer:

Lord, I pray that you bless me this day, watch over me. Protect me and keep me safe from dangers of my daily walk with you. Help to guide me on this day. Allow the power of the Holy Spirit to overtake me so I will be a blessing to someone today. Let your will be done in my life, I pray that every word that I shall speak or say shall be your words, not mine.

In Jesus Name I Pray,

Amen

1. Make God Your Only Option

Not only believing in God or having faith to make God a priority in your life. But making God your only option in your life. Particularly, when I first started my spiritual journey in life, I noticed every time I would face life obstacles. God would get me out of the situation. In the long run, I’ve learned how to make God my only option, it wasn’t another way for me. Colossians 3:17 “And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.”

Matthew 6:33 “But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.” By this time I put God first in everything that I do, I don’t go to anyone else but through Jesus Christ Himself. On the positive side, surrendering my life completely over to Jesus Christ.

To point out, no matter what decision I had to make, I put Him first in everything that I did. For the most part, I would even go to God about what I should wear on that date, because you never know who might need an encouraging word from the Lord. Or The Lord might use someone to minister to you wearing a particular color that day. Proverbs 16:3 Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will be established.

2. Trust God

Proverbs 3:5-6 “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.”

Under those circumstances, when you’ve reached the end of your hoarded resources, when your strength is gone, or the day is half done, our Father’s full giving grace has only begun. From time to time, in life, you’re going to have trials and tribulations but we must trust God through the process. Trusting God is the most important part about making Him a priority in your life.

By the same token, if you’re going through a financial crisis, you should trust God even more to provide for you. As a result, when I would go through hard times in life, God always came through to provide for me. In this case read my blog post God is My Provider and My CEO to find out how God provide for me during COVID 19. That’s why you must make God A priority in your life so He will provide for you. Philippians 4:19. 19 And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.

3. Pray Daily

Say This Prayer: Matthew 6:9-13: The Lords Prayer:

Our Father “This, then, is how you should pray: ‘Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come. Your will be done, on earth as it is I heaven. Give us today our daily bread. Forgive us our debts as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.”

In Jesus Name,

Amen

Philippians 4:6,7: Pray about everything:

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your request to God.” For this reason, you must pray about everything. If you don’t know how to pray daily, use your Holy language. Because that is a conversation between you and God. Acts 19:6 When Paul placed his hands on them, the Holy Spirit came on them, and they spoke in tongues and prophesied.

Mornings or nights are great, but feel free to use any time that works consistently for you. Read the Bible for the sake of learning, not simply to accomplish your next reading. Say a short prayer to God before you begin, asking the Holy Spirit to give you wisdom and understanding, then be refreshed by the words you read!

5. Spend Time with God by Fasting, Listening to Worship Music & Praising Jesus

Without a doubt, your faith will increase and your prayer life will increase when you spend time with God. According to the bible when you add fasting and prayer together you will receive a major breakthrough from The Lord. Fasting is a way to humble yourself in the sight of God (Psalm 35:13; Ezra 8:21). King David said, “I humbled my soul with fasting” (Psalm 69:10). As shown above, you will find yourself relying on God more fully for strength when you fast. Fasting and prayer can help us hear God more clearly. Definitely, you’re now on your way to transforming your life for the glory of God.

Psalm 66:1 says, “Shout for joy to God, all the earth; sing the glory of his name; give to him glorious praise!” When we sing about God’s glory during a worship service we are honoring God publicly, spreading his fame by reminding ourselves and others of God’s goodness.

For the purpose of how to Make God A Priority in your life, listening to praise and worship music will deliver you from anything. Important to realize, praise music decreased levels of stress for Christians or others. Those who listened to gospel music had higher self-esteem, felt more satisfied, and had a greater sense of self-control. Praise and worship music acknowledges the frustrations of daily living.

For one thing, it gives us the needed encouragement to move on and forget about the daily obstacles. It reminds us that we are okay, and it’s not everyone who has it figured out. Indeed, praise and worship music is a way of sharing and dealing with the pain we are facing. It is a comfort that provides a renewed hope, renewed energy, and renewed passion for the life of Jesus Christ.
