How to Hear God Voice to Make the Right Decision?

Although you can hear God voice to make the right decision it is one of the biggest things people struggle with on a daily basis. In fact, some people wonder “Does God still speak to people like He did in the bible?” Of course He does but not in the way that people think, God speaks in many different ways.

Table of Contents:

Through the Bible You Can Hear God Voice to Make the Right Decision

Therefore, the easiest way to hear God’s voice is through your bible to make the right decision. If you’re sad or depressed simply open your bible, it will give you comfort. Have you noticed if you’re going through something, you open up your bible and you read a scripture about your situation. That’s how you know God is speaking to you! So whenever you do have time open up your bible to hear God voice to make the right decision in your life.

You Can Hear God Voice to Make the Right Decision Auditory through the Holy Spirit

In order to make the right decision you must determine the difference between the voices inside of your head. It’s your voice, the devil voice and God’s voice. God’s voice is that small still voice inside of your head. The voice is pure, kind, and calm. It is a peaceful voice inside of your head saying do the right thing. Be kind to others, treat people the way you want to be treated.

If you hear a voice that is not line up with scriptures or the words of God, you know it’s the devil. God’s words are love and peaceful. In order to hear God voice to make the right decision everything must line up with the true words of God. His words are pure, love, kind and patient.

Through the Prophets or Apostles You Can Hear God Voice to Make the Right Decision

Yes Jesus Christ still has prophets to tell the future! Although it might not seem like it, there are still prophets and apostles in the world today. God sends a message to them to prepare the world for things that are going to happen in the future. If you obey the prophet, not rejecting the prophet God will prevent certain disasters from happening to you.

2 Chronicles 20:20 “Believe in the Lord your God and you shall be established; believe and remain steadfast to His prophets and you shall prosper.”

Making The Right Decision

Whenever God speaks, He always sends confirmation so you will know it’s the voice of God and it is true. Once you master hearing God’s voice through the Holy Spirit, making the right decision will come naturally in your life.

Immediately through your thoughts or mind an instant will come, it simply might be a feeling. As a result, there are some times I might feel like I need to call a particular person. Although, I might understand why but I keep feeling like I need to call them. It was this one time where I felt like I needed to call my uncle, so I said to myself I would call him when I have time.

By the end of the day I forgot to call my uncle, my aunt called me the next day to tell me my uncle had a stroke. He was not breathing on his own, he was in the hospital in the ICU room. Of course, I felt bad and sad because I didn’t call him. Immediately, I start speaking in tongues praying for a full recovery in Jesus Name.

Overall, it can be risky if you do not listen to God’s voice to make the right decision. Astonishing it can be a life- changing experience when you do listen to that feeling or that small still voice inside of your head. Sometimes when I would go places, I would have a bad feeling or it simply doesn’t seem right so I would leave. That also prevents a lot of bad things from happening to me.

Do Not Be Quick To Get Upset

Listening to God’s voice can be extraordinary, learn the different ways God speaks and you will learn the way He Speaks to you.  It will never be the same way, God doesn’t want you to get comfortable listening one way. So Jesus will strengthen you to prepare for all the different ways He speaks.

Behind the scenes, God will get quiet during certain seasons in your life. Please do not get upset, The Lord is still speaking without you knowing. Think about the times, when traffic is terrible, you may have to find a different route to work. Not realizing when you make it to work, you hear your co-workers discussing a bad wreck. If you were a few minutes earlier, or if the traffic wasn’t bad, that could have been you in that bad car wreck.

Acts 2: 17 “ ‘In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams.”

When I first started hearing from God to make the right decision I would have dreams, I still have dreams now.  In my dreams I would have dreams about future events that will happen in my life. In addition, I would have dreams about other people as well.

This particular time I had a dream about a friend of mine, his spirit was heavy on me, I kept feeling him. That following afternoon, he texted me saying that he might have stomach cancer. An hour later I FaceTime him, he was in the hospital under an IV. Immediately, I started praying in my Heaven language.

Unlike any other prayer, I was speaking in tongues like never before. At that point I could not stop praying the way my spiritual father Apostle Jonathan Ferguson taught me to pray. Not even a day later he called me the next day saying it was not stomach cancer. He made a full recovery, he was  released from the hospital completely healed.

Pay attention to your dreams, visions, signs or wonders. To be honest I really don’t see visions in real life but I see them through my dreams. If you want to learn how to see in the spirit or see visions, read Michael Van Vlymen book Powerful Keys to Spiritual Sight.

For this reason, in order to have dreams, visions or wonders, you must be sensitive to the spirit. When you look or see you must be seeing with your spiritual eyes. Especially when it comes to signs or wonders, pay attention to your surroundings. There may be times where God will keep showing you a number, phrase or sign. No matter where you go you will keep seeing the same number repeatedly.

Other People,  Signs & Wonders

Therefore, you simply may be at the park walking or running, a random stranger may come to you, tell you something that you have been praying to God about. That is how God will speak to you through other people.

On a particular day God might tell you to go to a bookstore or a random place, you see sentences or phrases that you have been praying about. Then on your way out, you notice a struggling elderly couple trying to buy food. In your heart, you know it’s the right thing to do is buy the food for them.

Overall, if you did not listen to God, that couple would have been hungry. Yes God will send you to places to help people, you should always treat others with kindness. It could be an angel in disguise so move when Jesus tells you to go to a place.

In summary, God is always speaking but are you are listening, you need to hear God’s voice to make the right decision no matter what. Start paying attention to God, be sensitive to the Holy Spirit, you will always make the right decisions in your life.

I am someone that has experienced significant dreams. I also think there is a lot of value in being willing to set aside life and listen in silence. Thank you for sharing!

  2. The two main ways the Lord speaks to me is through His Word and my feelings. I never rely solely on my feelings because the Word says that our hearts are deceitful. But when I take how I feel and put it under the magnifying glass of His Word then I know if it’s from Him.

    1. Hello Tamera! Yes you should never rely totally on your feelings. But to rely quickly on the Holy Spirit.
