He sets up kings and removes them for His purposes, sometimes even using unexpected or unconventional people as leaders to fulfill His will. Today, as we look at the landscape of American politics, there is a growing conviction among believers that God is asking the people of America to take a stand in the 2024 election, voting for a leader who will steer the country back toward its biblical foundations. Therefore, God has placed Donald Trump in a position of potential influence and impact, seeing him as a modern-day Cyrus, called to accomplish His purpose.

In the book of Isaiah, we find an example of a powerful, unexpected leader: Cyrus, the king of Persia. Cyrus wasn’t a follower of the God of Israel, yet God used him mightily to help restore the Israelites to their homeland and rebuild the temple. God’s word declares, “This is what the Lord says to his anointed, to Cyrus, whose right hand I take hold of to subdue nations before him” (Isaiah 45:1). Through Cyrus, God showed that He can use anyone—whether or not they fit the conventional image of a religious leader—to fulfill His plans for His people.

In fact, God has placed Donald Trump in a similar position. While he is not a perfect man, he has been seen by many as a defender of values that align with biblical principles: pro-life, pro-family, and pro-freedom of religion. In the 2016 and 2020 elections, Trump emerged as a candidate who represented a desire for change, who stood boldly against the status quo, and who promised to protect Christian values that have long been under attack.

Supporters of Trump often look to the fruits of his policies during his time in office, particularly his efforts to protect religious freedoms, appoint pro-life justices, and stand against global agendas that undermine Christian values. This transformation could allow Trump to be the leader God desires, a vessel through which America’s moral foundation could be restored.

America’s Warning: Avoiding the Path of Jezebel and Ahab in the 2024 Election

The Bible is filled with accounts of leaders who led God’s people astray. One of the most striking examples is King Ahab and his wife Jezebel. Jezebel, a woman driven by pagan worship, idolatry, and wickedness, led Israel down a dark path. Her husband, King Ahab, allowed her influence to corrupt his leadership, and as a result, the nation suffered immensely. The spirit of Jezebel represents a rejection of God’s authority, a disregard for His laws, and an embrace of ungodly practices.

Kamala Harris is operating in the Jezebel spirit, a witch particularly due to her support for abortion and her views on issues that contradict biblical principles. The current administration, led by Joe Biden, who is an Ahab-like figure, has pushed agendas and policies that many Christians feel conflict with their faith. Together, this leadership has overseen policies that have heightened concerns about religious freedoms, morality, and even the sanctity of life. For many Christians, this administration’s stance on issues like abortion is a sign of alignment with ungodly principles, and Harris’s influence is perceived as a continuation of this path.

“But there was no one like Ahab, who sold himself to do wickedness in the sight of the Lord, because Jezebel his wife stirred him up” (1 Kings 21:25). This warning echoes across the ages. America has a choice in 2024: Will we choose leaders who seek to honor God’s principles, or will we continue down a path led by those who embrace ungodliness?

These children will carry His message and walk in anointing, bringing revival and transformation that the world has not seen. However, this new generation cannot rise if they are not given the chance to live. By electing leaders who uphold the sanctity of life, America can protect these future leaders, giving them the opportunity to fulfill God’s purpose.

This election holds more weight than any in recent history because it could very well be America’s last chance for redemption. Throughout the Bible, God warns nations that persist in ungodliness. However, He also extends grace to those who turn back to Him in repentance. America has had many chances to return to God, yet the nation continues to drift further away. However, in His mercy, God is giving us one more opportunity to choose righteousness.

The Scripture is clear about God’s promise to heal and bless a nation that humbles itself and seeks His face. “If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land” (2 Chronicles 7:14). As Americans, we must heed this call, repenting of the ways we have strayed from God and making decisions that honor Him. The stakes have never been higher, and God is watching how we respond to His call for repentance.

Praying and Voting with Conviction

The 2024 election is not merely a civic duty but a spiritual act. As believers, we are called to pray for wisdom, seek God’s direction, and vote in a way that aligns with His Word. In a world where political debates often drown out the voice of faith, it’s essential that we place our trust in God’s sovereignty. In voting for policies that reflect biblical values, we invite the Holy Spirit to move within our country, bringing healing and revival. We must remember that our choices in this election are not only for ourselves but also for future generations who will inherit the nation we build today.

As Christians, we have a responsibility to be the light in a world darkened by confusion, compromise, and sin. The 2024 election is an opportunity for each of us to make a stand for Jesus Christ and His principles.
