Practice the Acts of Kindness in Your Heart

Acts of Kindness

Do you have the acts of kindness in your heart? As you all know Valentine’s Day is coming near, treat someone with kindness. You never know what a person is going through, someone might have simply lost the love of their life. Or some people might have lost someone special or maybe feeling loneliness or sadness on this day.

Table of Contents:

What Are Some Acts Of Kindness in Your Heart?

A random act of kindness is a non premeditated, inconsistent action designed to offer kindness towards the outside world.

As a result, the Acts of Kindness in your heart can be random nice things such as:

  • Giving compliments.
  • Giving gifts.
  • Saying kind words.
  • Showing gratitude.
  • Doing an act of service for someone else.
  • Being respectful.
  • Noticing good things that others do.
  • Giving your time to someone else.

Therefore, when you do some of these things, it will show people that you care, you are thinking about them. When you give a compliment to a stranger, it will bring them joy, you never know what a person is going through. Sometimes people may not feel pretty or good enough for anything so your words would matter to me.

The Golden Rule

For example, we all know the Golden Rule: Treat Others Like You Want To Be Treated. It is very important, if you want someone to be nice or respect you, you should do the same thing in return. The golden rule is a philosophy for leading one’s life that suggests that other people should be treated fairly and with respect. Essentially, people act for the good of others, because they would like to be treated in the same way.

How Can You Get The Acts of Kindness In Your Heart?

In addition, the acts of Kindness in your heart starts with being kind to yourself. Simply start by treating yourself better by taking care of your personal needs, treating yourself, doing something to make you happy on a daily basis, taking time to relax, to pray, walk, run or exercise. As a result, you should take a  moment to breathe, assess what we need, and seek it.

Have A Spirit of Generosity

Give to give, not to receive

Furthermore, the purest form of kindness may have no audience and offer no credit. Kindness to accumulate thanks is self-serving at best. Some may even say it’s an effort to control or make the recipient feel indebted. But when we are kind even if — maybe especially if — there’s no such payback, the rewards may be all the sweeter.

Choose To Be Kind

Although, life may get hard sometimes or you are simply having a bad day choose the acts of kindness in your heart. When you choose to be kind, others will be drawn to you in a way that will make your day better. In spite of what you are going through people will be willingly to help, be there for you or simply give you much needed advice.

Practice the Acts of Gratitude

When you live a life full of gratitude everything will come natural in your life, you will be graceful for everything you have and all other things will fall into place for you. In the same way, the Acts of Kindness of Your Heart will be instilled inside of you and no one can take that away from you.

  1. Aura says:

Treat others like you want to be treated. My mother repeated this again and again until I finally got it. Took me a while but I got it. Now I never treat others badly because I don’t want to be treated badly.

    1. Riana says:

Does that mean that when someone treats you badly for some reason, you don’t reciprocate?

      1. Aura says:

When that happens (and it does) I just choose not to get angry. I first get calm (if I’m not) and tell that person that I don’t agree with what they’ve said. I tell them about the things that I like about them (everyone has good or great pluses) and then also say that what they’ve just said is not like them or just ask them why? Why are you saying this? Sometimes people say mean things just because they are tired, mad about something else entirely. In most cases, asking why repeatedly will bring out the real reasons. Overall, I just try to be nice about it and believe it or not, most people will let their guard down and turn from “enemies” into friends.

    2. Hello Aura! I’m glad you finally got it, yes you should always treat others the way you want to be treated.

  2. Alison says:

Living a life full of gratitude is one of my lifetime goals. I am not there yet but I am getting better at it.

    1. Hello Allison! All you have to do is take your time and you will get there.

  3. Juliet says:

You have inspired me to start doing acts of gratitude, to give money and things to others that need them more than I do. And it makes me so happy to do this without ever asking or expecting anything in return.

    1. Lexi says:

Isn’t this feeling wonderful? I am always so pleasantly surprised by how good I feel when I give things away. No expectation. No nothing. I just do it because I can. And the more I do it the more I reinforce the thought that I have things or money to give which means I have plenty to be grateful for.

      1. Hello Lexi! Yes that is so true, it’s always better to give than to receive.

    2. Hello Juliet! It’s amazing that you have start doing the act of gratitude.

  4. Kelsey says:

Be kind to yourself. Hmm… sometimes that is harder than expected. Sometimes you feel worthless, like you should have accomplished more by now, like you should be more. It’s hard to get out of such a mindset and I’m sure it happens to a lot of us. We’re thinking we’re just not enough but you know what? We are. We are enough. And we can choose to be more. And do just a little bit more today so we are better tomorrow.

    1. Hello Kelsey! Yes you are more then enough!!!
