Could Anxiety Actually Be A Blessing?
Anxiety Is A Liar
— Is anxiety a consistent challenge in your life or does it only arise occasionally?
— In what areas of your life are you most tempted to experience anxiety?
— How quickly do you recognize when a temptation to worry comes along?
— What circumstances cause you to fall into thinking “If I just try harder, I can conquer this anxiety”?
— How does it encourage you that you are God’s child?
It’s hard not to worry about anything at all. That’s probably impossible but I want to get to a point where it’s at least manageable. This helps me refocus my mind by asking the right questions
Those prayers for specific worries are really something. I have two that read almost daily and they do help.
I would have never thought that my anxiety could actually be a blessing (or at least partially a blessing) but it actually turned out to be one. It’s surprising what you find when you reframe things and/or ask some different questions.
Gratefulness drives out worry. If there’s one thing we should all know is this. Practice gratitude every morning and your days will be much better.
I experience work anxiety. When I’m at home I am calm and rarely anxious but when at work, well, that’s a different thing. Will practice what was taught here often.
An amazing book that is full of hope!
Anxiety, like any other emotion, has to be kept under control in order to live a healthy and full life. Figuring out why I have anxiety brought me into the new stage of life, a life where I no longer feel fear knowing that God is by my side.
This book is God-focused while including practices that will set your mind at ease. I couldn’t recommend this more!
After reading this I started practicing being grateful every single day. Sometimes I do it 2-3 times daily. It only takes me 30-60 seconds but it gets me in such a good mood when I realize how many wonderful people and things there are in my life. I always feel blessed.
