Trusting God’s Plan: My Journey from Stress to Provision

Trusting God's Plan

In the journey of life, there are moments when we find ourselves at a crossroads, overwhelmed by the weight of our responsibilities and yearning for a change that seems beyond our reach. Trusting God’s plan for me, this moment came when I was working as a special education teacher and a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) for children with autism.

The demands of these roles were immense, often pushing me to my limits with long hours and high stress. As a single mother, my heart was heavy with the burden of providing for my son, Zechariah, while balancing the demands of my job. However, through it all, I never wavered in my faith, always trusting that God would guide me through the storm.

The Burden of Stressful Jobs of Trusting God’s Plan

Working with children with autism is incredibly rewarding, yet it can also be incredibly demanding. The emotional and physical toll it took on me was immense. My days were long, often extending into the late hours of the night as I prepared lessons, managed behaviors, and supported these incredible children in their daily struggles. The stress was relentless, and there were moments when I felt utterly exhausted and overwhelmed. I loved the children I worked with, but the constant pressure and the weight of my responsibilities as a single mother left me feeling like I was drowning.

Balancing two demanding jobs was not just a physical strain but an emotional one as well. As an RBT, I often had to manage challenging behaviors, provide therapy sessions, and ensure that each child received the individualized attention they needed. Meanwhile, my role as a special education teacher required me to develop and implement lesson plans, assess student progress, and collaborate with parents and other educators. The dual roles often left me with little time for myself and my son, making it difficult to maintain a healthy work-life balance.

Turning to God in Prayer

In those moments of deep exhaustion and despair, I turned to God in prayer. I poured out my heart to Him, asking for His guidance and provision. I prayed fervently, asking God to remove me from my job if it was His will. I trusted that He knew what was best for me and my son, and I clung to the promises in His Word.

Psalm 55:22 says, “Cast your burden on the Lord, and He will sustain you; He will never permit the righteous to be moved.” I held onto this verse, believing that God would sustain me and provide a way out of the stressful situation I found myself in. Every night, as I knelt by my bed, I prayed for a miracle, for a sign that God was listening and that He had a plan for me.

My prayers were not just for a way out, but for strength to endure and wisdom to navigate the challenges. I asked God to give me patience with the children I worked with, clarity in my teaching, and compassion in my interactions. I also prayed for my son, Zechariah, that he would understand and be patient with the demands on my time and that he would feel loved and supported despite my busy schedule.

A Miraculous Provision

One morning, as I was getting ready for another long day at work, I received an unexpected email from my bank. It was a notification about a deposit that needed to be approved for my account. I was shocked and confused, as I had no idea where this money had come from. My first instinct was to send it back, assuming there had been some kind of mistake. But when I contacted the bank, they informed me that the deposit was legitimate and that the person who had made it had done so intentionally for me. They assured me that the funds were mine to keep.

I was stunned. The amount was almost $10,000. I couldn’t believe what was happening. It felt like a dream, like God had reached down and answered my prayers in the most unexpected way. With tears in my eyes, I thanked God for His provision and for showing me that He was indeed listening to my cries for help. This financial miracle was more than just money in my account; it was a confirmation that God was actively working in my life. It was a reminder that He sees our struggles, hears our prayers, and responds in His perfect timing. This unexpected blessing gave me the assurance that God was not only aware of my situation but was orchestrating events for my good.

A Storm Brings Clarity

Shortly after receiving the miraculous deposit, a storm hit Texas, causing schools to close and leaving me unable to work for a week. It was during this unexpected break that I received another surprising message. My boss at the RBT job sent me a text, informing me that my services were no longer needed. My position had been terminated.

At that moment, I knew that God had answered my prayers. He had not only provided the financial support I needed but had also removed me from the stressful job that had been weighing so heavily on my shoulders. It was as if a huge burden had been lifted, and I could finally breathe freely again.

The storm, while disruptive, was a blessing in disguise. It forced me to pause and reflect on my life, my career, and my priorities. It gave me the time and space to seek God’s direction more earnestly and to listen to His guidance. The termination of my job, which could have been a source of panic and fear, was instead a moment of liberation and God’s intervention.

Trusting in God’s Plan

This experience taught me a profound lesson about trusting in God’s plan and His timing. Proverbs 3:5-6 says, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths.” I had been so consumed with worry and stress, trying to figure out how to balance my responsibilities and provide for my son. But God showed me that He is in control and that He has a plan for my life that is far greater than anything I could imagine.

As a single mother, it can be easy to feel overwhelmed and alone. But I have learned that God is always with us, guiding us and providing for our needs. He is our provider, our protector, and our source of strength. When we place our trust in Him and seek His guidance, He will lead us to where we need to be.

During this time, I immersed myself in Scripture, finding solace and strength in God’s Word. Verses like Philippians 4:19, “And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus,” became anchors for my soul. I realized that God’s provision is not just about financial resources but encompasses every aspect of our lives, including emotional, spiritual, and relational needs.

Encouraging Others to Trust in God

I share my story not to boast about my faith, but to encourage others who may be going through similar struggles. If God can do this for me, imagine what He can do for you. No matter what challenges you may be facing, know that God is with you and that He has a plan for your life. Trust in Him, seek His guidance, and He will provide for your needs.

Isaiah 41:10 says, “Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” This verse has been a source of great comfort to me, reminding me that God is always by my side, ready to support and guide me through any challenge.

I want to encourage single mothers, educators, and anyone feeling overwhelmed by their circumstances to turn to God in prayer. He understands our struggles and is ready to provide us with the strength and resources we need. When we surrender our burdens to Him and trust in His plan, we can experience a peace that transcends understanding.

Finding Purpose in God’s Plan

Through this journey, I have come to realize that our true purpose in life is found in God’s plan for us. When we align our lives with His will and seek to fulfill His purpose, we find true fulfillment and joy. Our money, our security, and our happiness are all found in Him.

For anyone who feels lost or overwhelmed, I encourage you to turn to God in prayer. Seek His guidance and trust in His plan for your life. He knows your needs, and He will provide for you in ways that you may not expect. Remember that your money is in your purpose in life, and when you follow God’s plan, He will provide for all your needs.

Understanding this truth has transformed my perspective on life and work. I no longer see my career as a source of stress but as an opportunity to serve God and others. I am passionate about helping women who feel lost and confused find their purpose through Jesus Christ. This calling has given me a sense of direction and fulfillment that I never experienced in my previous jobs.

The Impact of Faith on Parenting

My faith journey has also profoundly impacted my role as a mother. Raising Zechariah as a single parent has its unique challenges, but trusting in God has given me the strength and wisdom to navigate these challenges. I strive to instill in him the same faith and trust in God that has sustained me. We pray together, read the Bible, and discuss the importance of relying on God’s guidance in all aspects of life.

Seeing how God has provided for us has been a powerful testimony to Zechariah. He has witnessed firsthand the importance of prayer, faith, fasting and trusting in God’s provision. This experience has not only strengthened my faith but has also planted seeds of faith in my son, which I pray will continue to grow and flourish throughout his life.

Building a Community of Faith of Trusting God’s Plan

Through my experiences, I have also felt a strong calling to build a community of faith where women can support and encourage one another. The Glory Nation Academy Membership Program is one such initiative where women can come together, share their struggles, and find strength in their faith. It is a space where we can learn from each other’s experiences, pray for one another, and grow together in our walk with Christ. It is also a program where I teach women to learn how to trust God to provide for them and to make God their CEO. You can join our program Here.

A Living Testimony of Trusting God’s Plan

Today, I am a living testimony of God’s provision and faithfulness. I am grateful for the miraculous ways He has worked in my life, and I am committed to sharing my story with others to inspire and encourage them. If you are facing challenges, know that God is with you and that He has a plan for your life. Trust in Him, and He will lead you to where you need to be.

Therefore, I want to leave you with one of my favorite Bible verses, which has been a source of great strength and encouragement to me: Jeremiah 29:11 says, “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.” Hold onto this promise, and trust that God has a wonderful plan for your life. He is your provider, your protector, and your guide. When you place your trust in Him, He will lead you to a life filled with purpose, joy, and abundance.

Encouragement for the Future of Trusting God’s Plan

As we move forward, let us remember to keep God at the center of our lives. Whether we are facing financial challenges, job stress, or personal struggles, we can find peace and strength in His presence. Let us be diligent in prayer, steadfast in our faith, and open to the miraculous ways God can work in our lives.

For those of you who are struggling, I encourage you to hold on to hope. God has a plan for you, and He is working behind the scenes, even when you cannot see it. Trust in His timing, and believe that He will provide for you in ways that exceed your expectations.

A Journey of Faith of Trusting God’s Plan

My journey from stress to provision has been a testament to God’s faithfulness and love. Through the challenges and uncertainties, He has been my constant source of strength and guidance. I am grateful for His provision and for the lessons I have learned along the way.

As I continue to walk this path, I am committed to helping others find their purpose and trust in God’s plan for their lives. Whether through the Glory Nation Academy, the Prayer Board Workshops, or personal interactions, I am dedicated to sharing the hope and peace that come from a life surrendered to God.

May my story be a source of encouragement and inspiration to you. Remember, God is with you, He loves you, and He has a plan for your life. Trust in Him, seek His guidance, and watch as He leads you to a life of purpose, joy, and abundance.
