As an illustration, the fire of God spiritual meaning in the Old Testament passages help us understand the Holy Spirit. Nonetheless, the fire of God in the New Testament. Primarily fire represents the presence of God as the fire of God, as when Moses encountered God at the burning bush. As a result, later when God appeared in a pillar of fire to lead his people in the wilderness (Exodus 3:2; 13:21).

The Tongues of Fire Represents The Fire of God
In Acts, the tongues of fire represent the presence of God the Holy Spirit as the fire of God. This fulfills John the Baptist’s prophecy that the Messiah would baptize “with the Holy Spirit and fire” (Matthew 3:11-12). To demonstrate, means that the purifying work of the Holy Spirit carries on in our lives today. The Spirit comes into our lives to transform us, cleansing and purifying us to become more like Jesus Christ in our daily living. The thought of being purified by fire of God can be very scary. Overall, we can be assured that the same holy God who gave his only Son. For instance, God poured out his Spirit to make us holy.
What Does It Say About the Fire of God in Genesis?
In Genesis 22:2 “And he said, Take now thy son, thine only son Isaac, whom thou lovest, and get thee into the land of Moriah. And offer him there for a burnt offering upon one of the mountains which I will tell thee of.” God told Abraham to sacrifice his only son Isaac, which God promised Abraham that nations will be blessed through Isaac.
In Genesis 22:6 “And Abraham took the wood of the burnt offering, and laid it upon Isaac his son. He took the fire of God in his hand, and a knife; and they went both of them together.” When Abraham went to the mountaintop, he was carrying the fire with him. No one can carry the fire but God but in the bible it says that Abraham was carrying the fire in his hand.
Abraham Was Carrying the Fire In His Hand
In Hebrew 11:17-19: “By faith Abraham, when he was tried, offered up Isaac: and he that had received the promises offered up his only begotten son. 18 Of whom it was said, That in Isaac shall thy seed be called. 19 Accounting that God was able to raise him up, even from the dead; from whence also he received him in a figure.”
Abraham was carrying the fire of God in his hand. He also believes that God will raise Isaac from the dead when no one has even heard of resurrection yet. This was in Abraham’s time and Jesus Christ hasn’t come yet. Therefore, what I’m saying is that Abraham was just like God, no one could have thought like that but a man just like God. In fact, Abraham’s faith was so strong he thought exactly the way God does. However, because of Abraham’s obedience, his offspring Isaac ruled many nations through him.
Abraham Became A Father of Many Nations
Genesis 22:12-13 “And he said, Lay not thine hand upon the lad, neither do thou any thing unto him. For now I know that thou fearest God, seeing thou hast not withheld thy son, thine only son from me. 13 And Abraham lifted up his eyes, and looked, and behold behind him a ram caught in a thicket by his horns: and Abraham went and took the ram, and offered him up for a burnt offering in the stead of his son.”
Otherwise, in Genesis 22:17-18 “That in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven. As the sand which is upon the sea shore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies;18 And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed my voice.”
Are You Going To Become Like Abraham?
Specifically, no matter what you are going through in life, you must be willing to carry the fire of God. It doesn’t matter what people say or think, you have to keep your faith and trust God. If you’re not in your manifestation season yet, still trust God and be willing to carry the fire with you. When you’re in unfamiliar places or situations, that’s when you have to trust The Lord the most because He has a happy ending for you.
It doesn’t matter if you’re alone, no one wants to carry the fire with you; however, you must be willing to carry the fire alone and that God is right there with you. People will have to make sacrifices to carry the fire of God, because everyone is not meant to go with them. When you’re carrying the fire, you leave everything behind including family members or so called friends! God will supply your every need along the way. When you’re carrying the fire, you will have to be exactly like God. When you’re going through things, you don’t even understand why, you carry the fire with you.
If you lost everything you have, you’re at your lowest point with tears in your eyes. You are still willing to carry the fire of God with you. No matter what circumstances you’re in, still be willing to carry the fire of God with you because God has something so much greater for you and He has an uncommon predestination for your life. Most importantly be like Abraham and carry the fire when God has you to do something that may be strange to you but carry the fire of God in your hand trust God and keep your faith.
